Choosing an Error Correction Level (ECC)
QR codes contain built-in error correction that allows data to be restored even if the code is smudged or damaged. You can select from four levels based on your use case:
・Level L (approx. 7% restoration): Generates the simplest, least dense code. Ideal for screen displays or very long URLs where damage is unlikely.
・Level M (approx. 15% restoration): The standard setting. Good balance for general print materials, business cards, etc.
・Level Q (approx. 25% restoration): Suitable for outdoor posters or slightly low-resolution printing where minor damage or dust is expected.
・Level H (approx. 30% restoration): Maximum durability. Recommended for harsh outdoor environments or custom QR codes that overlap a logo image in the center.
